About me
Hello my name is Sarah, I have restarted my childminding journey after a break and a house move, I have 6 Children of my own 4 of whom have grown up and have homes of their own, my youngest 2 children live at home with me and still attend primary school. I have over 35 years childcare experience from being a Nanny, Mother ,Grandmother and previously as a Registered Childminder graded Outstanding by Ofsted. I am also an Author of children’s stories and have been fortunate to have some of my work published. “The Adventures of Pinkington Trunk - Finding Emily”, this book was written for my daughter who is one of the main characters, the next 2 books in the series all of my children are characters within the stories. I also wrote a book for my son Thomas about Lockdown which I have had the privilege of reading this in schools and for the Scouts and Guides.
Reading will be a strong focus within my childminding setting.
About The Setting
My childminding setting offers a wide range of activities, trips to play groups, parks and the local town and library. My home is a bungalow and along with a large living room there is a playroom where the toys are kept, this room leads to the rear of the home which has an enclosed outdoor space with a summer house. There is also a carport at the side of the property where children can keep dry if it rains, snows or also to shade from the sun. I offer healthy home cooked meals, snacks and drinks. Children can help to bake and cook in the kitchen and there is a messy play cupboard for paints, clay and other creative resources. Children can enjoy dancing and singing activities daily along with reading and story time.
Activities you can work on together
My ethos is to encourage your little ones to become better independent learners, there will be a good balance of child led activities, as I discover how your child learns and what their interests are I can work with them to extend their learning through play with adult led activities and resources to help them to flourish and learn through play.

Daily from 7.30am - 5.30pm
Outside of these hour can be arranged upon request
